Hasn’t this muggy, exhausting summer gone on too long? Don’t you want retreat to a simpler, more elegant time and place, far away from the tank tops and denim cutoffs running rampant on our streets? Aren’t you just ready for fall? If you’re like us, the answer to all of these existential seasonal questions is an emphatic yes. For W‘s September issue, photographer Alasdair McLellan and Benjamin Bruno trekked into the woods with a bevy of our favorite models—Lara Stone, Saskia de Brauw, Faretta, Vanessa Axente, Amandine Renard, Sarah Fraser, Sara Grace, and Giedre Dukauskaite—to channel the spirit of the coming autumn season. A word of advice: Be sure to bring a sweater.
