Earlier this year, New York City announced plans to appoint a so-called “nightlife ambassador,” a government figurehead who would liaison between the city and whatever hotspots are left in town, including music venues. Well, people had opinions about who should take up the job. The good thing about New York is that there’s no shortage of candidates to take up a gig promoting gotham’s nightlife. For instance, consider the rebels in W‘s November issue: Susanne Bartsch, Dapper Dan, Eddie Huang, Jillian Hervey of Lion Babe, Young Paris, Heron Preston, Cuba Tornado Scott and model and musician Hirakish. Pictured at Paul’s Baby Grand in SoHo, they are New York City nightlife at its best. So, bust out the sequins and put your party shoes on. We’re going to forget the world’s worries and dance till the break of dawn.
