The February opening of Gucci’s largest store in the world, its 46,000-square-foot New York flagship, required molto bene merchandise, and creative director Frida Giannini rose to the occasion beautifully. One creation, an entire line christened Heritage, features an elegant crocodile traveling trunk replete with drawers and hanging space. Other covetable items include a suite of jewelry that utilizes the house’s signature horse-bit imagery on a drop-cutcognac topaz and diamond cocktail ring, earrings and a necklace featuring a topaz surrounded by 156 glimmering diamonds. Collectors, take note.
