Mia Gruenwald

German up-and-comer Mia Gruenwald just scored a bit of a coup as one of the faces in Gucci’s Berlin-inspired spring campaign. She is a multifaceted model, Gruenwald, one who can both appreciate the ancient practice of Ayurvedic medicine – huh? – but also Yves Saint Laurent lipstick.

Your look in three words: Sporty. Stretchy. Contrast-y.

Never leave the house without: Lip balm.

Beauty from the inside out: I’m into Ayurvedic medicine, which considers food to be a cure if you eat the right things the right way.

Exercise regime: Pilates, meditation and good old running.

Snack of choice: Bananas.

Beauty essentials: Bioderma micellar water, moisturizer with SPF, Yves Saint Laurent lipstick, Bumble & Bumble invisible oil primer.

Skincare splurge: I love the Dr. Hauschka Regenerating Serum.

Professed hair professional: Believe it or not I like doing it myself so there won’t be misunderstanding about what I want.

Pharmacy find: Not Your Mother’s Dry Texture Spray.

In-tub must-read: American Gods by Neil Gaiman

Beauty locale in Berlin: The Nivea house in Berlin is kinda cool. It’s like a museum, a store and a treatment center all in one.

Always in your suitcase: My beauty essentials, and loads of first-aid supplies just in case.

Fragrance of choice: Eau de Lacoste by Lacoste.

Best advice from mom: Get as much fresh air as possible.

Best advice from the pros: Soak your lips in cream over night, the next day they’ll be easy to exfoliate by rubbing them with a towel.
