Johanna F. Schneider Is Ready for Summer

For her second outing with Nike, the fashion designer Johanna F. Schneider was inspired by Berlin, the city she calls home, as well as her own athletic pursuits. “I have always been fascinated by the diversity of both the people and culture of Berlin, and I discovered a unique set of women while working out—we use sports to connect and spend time with each other—this network of women is a huge inspiration for me,” says Schneider. “The hand-illustrated graphics are arranged on the women’s body and interact with her movements,” she explains of the line’s vibrant and dynamic prints. While Schneider has succeeded in meshing style and functionality, she has her priorities in line. “The source of developing a product is still the same for me – performance is always key.”
