The late Alexander McQueen’s spellbinding creations take center stage in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute exhibition “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” (May 4 to July 31). Spanning almost two decades—beginning with his career-launching Central Saint Martins postgraduate collection—the show includes more than 100 pieces that emphasize the designer’s recurring fascination with romanticism and impeccable tailoring, bumster pants included.
