What: A sunset cruise and dinner hosted by Paddle8 and W magazine, honoring the W Art Issue, and the 2015 Creative Time Summit and the organization’s director Anne Pasternak.
When: Thursday, May 7th
Where: Coinciding with the 2015 Venice Biennale, it began with cocktails on the Eolo, a historic sailboat, which took guests around the Venetian lagoon before docking at a barge.
Who: A mix of artists (Kara Walker, Marina Abramovic, Marco Brambilla), art world insiders (Alexander Gilkes, Maria Baibakova, Louise Neri) and collectors (Bibi Gritti, Shelley Fox Aarons and Phil Aarons).
Why: Do you really need a reason to justify a waterside dinner? If so, it also celebrated a special Creative Time Summit the arts organization will mount in August at the invitation of the 2015 Venice Biennale curator Okwui Enwezor and drew attention to the ongoing Paddle8 May Contemporary auction, which includes works by many artists featured in the Biennale.
