Spray Strong

After two recent bad falls on my bike, I treated myself to a Restorative Mineral Massage at New York’s Paul Labrecque salon, where the therapist Mikala Freitas spritzed my hips and shoulders with Magsoothium, a magnesium sulfate spray ($40, paullabrecque.com). I’m not sure whether it was her magic touch or the mineral, but my joints did feel less creaky afterward. Of course, knowing that the bike has been stashed in the attic until spring also helped.
