On Thursday night, tennis champion and Olympic gold medalist Serena Williams married Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in New Orleans. Earlier this week, Williams made her first public appearance after giving birth at Glamour's 2017 Women of the Year Awards in New York City to introduce Gigi Hadid. She quickly made her way down to New Orleans to marry Ohanian at the Contemporary Arts Center, with a Beauty and the Beast theme that welcomed guests to "Be Our Guest," the bouncy bop from the Disney classic. If you aren't jealous enough already of that entire wedding set-up, just wait until you see the list of attendees.
Entertainment Tonight reports that guests included Beyoncé, Eva Longoria, Ciara, Lala, Kelly Rowland and Venus Williams. Oh, and they all reportedly dressed according to the Beauty and the Beast theme.
In addition to celebrating their nuptials with close friends and family, Williams and Ohanian's new baby Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.—who was born September 1—was present as well. It has also been reported that Kim Kardashian was a guest, and that the band New Edition provided a live musical performance during the reception.
The four-time Olympic gold medalist, who is arguably the greatest athlete of all time, is also a twelve-time Grand Slam title winner. Guests were seated at tables that were named after each one of her titles, and were gifted with trophy party favors at the end of the reception.
This morning, wedding guests will brunch at the Ace Hotel. (Is that a tennis reference, or are Williams, Ohanian and their guests just a group of hip people who want to celebrate their nuptials with games, music and a recovery bar the way cool New Orleans people do?) No one from the star-studded list of wedding attendees has shared their photos or videos of the reception on social media just yet, but hopefully we can look forward to a snapshot of Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian playing mimosa pong at the Ace Hotel.
