‘Westworld’ Might Be Over For Now, But Tessa Thompson Is Still Hitting the Town

The ‘Westworld’ star is seeing blue at Julia Restoin Roitfeld’s Marché Bleu.

This week, for the first time in three months, there’s no Westworld to look forward to Sunday night. Last week’s finale gave fans plenty to mull over, and avid Redditors plenty to rejoice over as many of their theories proved accurate — but the next season won’t drop till 2018, so there’s also ample time to devise a whole new set of hunches for the coming episodes. In the meantime, Westworld star Tessa Thompson is still quite the woman-about-town. She returned from an extended shoot in Australia to make an appearance at the preview party celebrating Julia Restoin Roitfeld’s new pop-up in collaboration with Grey Goose, Marché Bleu. It was a festive crowd — Annie Clark in subtly metallic makeup and a mulberry suit, Rita Ora in head-to-toe Ferragamo — and Thompson, in her pitch-perfect blue ensemble for Le Marché Bleu, won the party scene.

Who: Tessa Thompson.

When: Wednesday, December 7.

Where: The preview party celebrating Julia Restoin Roitfeld’s Soho-based, Paris-inspired holiday market, Marché Bleu, in collaboration with Grey Goose in New York, New York, December 2016.

What: A navy blue motorcycle-style jacket with embroidered details, a coordinating navy lace dress (both by Jason Wu, from his Grey line), and platform shoes in navy, ivory, and gold by Gucci.

Why: When you’re attending an event called Le Marché Bleu, the dress code is practically a given. Tessa Thompson nails the all-blue look without being too matchy — her jacket, a darker navy than the rest of her look, contrasts with the mottled royal-and-navy variations of her skirt. A small bucket bag adds a bit of edge, while platform heels by Gucci are playful and a bit nautical. (It seems that a slight nautical edge is the look of the season.) So Westworld might be on hold, but Tessa Thompson isn’t about to let us forget her name.
