What: The Drawing Center’s Gala 2015
When: Tuesday, May 19th
Where: Cipriani Wall Street
Who: Former board co-chair Frances Beatty Adler received the Director’s Award; artist Will Cotton picked up the The Drawing Center Award, and designer Prabal Gurung was honored with the Creativity Award.
Why: Larger institutions, whether on the Fifth Avenue Mile or beneath the Highline, have been getting plenty of attention of late. It was nice to turn the focus on this smaller Soho-based space whose mission is simple but possibilities, endless.
