I’m loving Ukranian-born photographer Viktoria Sorochinski’s lush color photography series “Anna and Eve,” which is based on a real mother-daughter duo she met in 2005. “The boundary between the child and the adult was blurred to an unusually high degree,” Sorochinski says, “primarily due to the mother’s young age—23. It seemed at times that she was more of a child than her three-year-old daughter.” The photos wonderfully blur the lines between fantastical staged compositions and documentary. I’m looking forward to her group show at Catherine Edelman in Chicago this fall, but until then I’ll be supporting her project on Kickstarter!
