For Katie Holmes and her new beau Jason Bard Yarmosky, opposites evidently attract. The couple made their first official red-carpet appearance over the weekend in ensembles that served contrasting color palettes and equal amounts of stripped-back ease.
Attending the 2026 Guild Hall Summer Gala in East Hampton on Friday night, Holmes and Yarmosky—a New York-based fine artist known for his portraiture—were the image of mismatched cohesion. The 47-year-old actress opted for a textured ivory gown from Fforme’s fall 2026 collection. Dubbed the “Paloma Dress,” the strapless number is made from layered silk cotton organza and features fine fringe detailing along the neckline and at the base. Though on the runway it was styled with white flats, Holmes accessorized with a pink Tory Burch Pochette bag and snakeskin kitten heels, which she took off midway through the evening in favor of going barefoot. Yarmosky also embraced this effortlessness, wearing an all-black ensemble comprised of trousers and a form-fitting crewneck. Instead of a traditional necktie, he accessorized on the red carpet with a piece of crimson fabric peeking through his collar—a layer he shed later in the night.
Though this marks the couple’s official red carpet debut, it is not their first public date night. They reportedly met at a Tribeca Film Festival dinner in June, and throughout the summer, the duo has been spotted enjoying low-key outings around Manhattan. In late July, the pair attended a high-profile Ferragamo event together in Bridgehampton, where Yarmosky donned a navy monochrome crewneck that subtly complemented Holmes’s sheer button-up in the same shade.
