Celine Dion has done it again. Couture is, by nature, exclusive, but in attending the fall 2019 haute couture shows in Paris this week, the 51-year-old singer has managed to not only make taking delight in designers like Iris van Herpen’s creations accessible, but also irresistible. From the first time she stepped out in the city, leaving her hotel in a simple black bodysuit paired with a Chanel logo chain belt, Dion has been treating the streets as her runway—at times even literally. The Off-White ensemble she wore on Monday, for example, had only ever been worn on the catwalk a week earlier—though unlike its previous wearer, Gigi Hadid, Dion left the oversized blazer unbuttoned, so as to make it perfectly clear that she was not wearing pants. And yet, that wasn’t even the standout; how could it be, when Dion was also pairing pieces like an “I [heart] Paris Hilton” tee, fresh from the Vetements runway, with a take on the heart-shaped Titanic necklace? See those ensembles and more handiwork of Dion’s stylist, Sydney Lopez, here.
