Even Naomi Campbell and Alexa Chung Are Stepping Up Their Street Style Game for the Paris Couture Shows
Whether they were already in town in for the men’s shows, or just arriving this week for the Spring 2018 couture sho, showgoers have begun pulling out all the stops in their street style game to take in the most opulent collections of the season. And while Kate Moss’s return to the catwalk for the first time in years—naturally alongside Naomi Campbell—during the men’s shows is not to be forgotten, couture has also brought along an upgrade when it comes to star power. Not only is Campbell back in town, but she’s now been joined by other industry names like Alexa Chung, as well as models like Winnie Harlow and the up-and-comer Gabriel Kane Day-Lewis. (Now that his father’s given up on acting, someone’s gotta keep up the family name.) Warmer weather has made it so that Chung can finally go back to simply perching her coat on her shoulders instead of actually wearing it, while others like Harlow have pulled out their capes to attend shows like Dior. Indeed, even the puffers that have been omnipresent this season have gone up a notch: just one day in, we’ve already spotted a velvet version.
