After a near year-long absence from the red carpet, Jennifer Lawrence is back—and seemingly embracing the sweeter side of things.

Today, Lawrence appeared on the red carpet for the world premiere of her new, hotly anticipated film, mother!, as part of the 74th Venice Film Festival. For the occasion, Lawrence appeared in a rather feminine dress that recalled a classic ballerina tutu in both hue and volume. The dress came courtesy of Dior, of course—for whom Lawrence has served as ambassador since 2012—specifically the house’s haute couture collection, and features black point d’esprit over salmon pink tulle ball gown with herbal-inspired silk wild rose embroidery.

Earlier in the day, the actress made her official festival debut at a photocall for the film, where she wore a black lace tea-length dress by Giambattista Valli—a subdued prelude to the evening’s major fashion moment.

The mother! premiere marks Lawrence’s first red carpet appearance in 2017, having spent much of the year under the radar, save for a paparazzi shot here or there. Her last big promotional push was last December, when she promoted her last film Passengers. Interestingly enough—or, you know, a testament to Lawrence’s commitment to Dior—the actress’s last red carpet turns also included some very ballet-ready looks with lots and lots of tulle. It’s fitting, actually, for an actress who would end up dating mother!‘s director, Darren Aronofsky, who also directed ballet thriller Black Swan.

Speaking of, the movie premiere was also notable in that it marked Lawrence and Aronofsky’s first public appearance together. The couple met on set of the film, which Aronovsky directed, and have kept a low profile since, not including a few gushing quotes in Vogue. ” “I normally don’t like Harvard people, because they can’t go two minutes without mentioning that they went to Harvard,” she told the magazine in her September issue cover story. “He’s not like that.”

The premiere also holds significance in that it means the film’s release is all the much closer—and will hopefully finally put some of its mystery to bed.
