Sita Abellan Photographed Kim Kardashian as a Princess

Whether she’s in front of the camera or behind it, Sita Abellan has an eye for capturing a trend. After her role in Rihanna‘s “Bitch Better Have My Money” music video in 2015, Abellan was asked to walk in the Spring 2017 Fenty x Puma show, DJ’d for Jeremy Scott‘s own fashion show, and debuted her own line of “Techno Capitalism” merch. Now the 24-year-old wunderkind can add photographer to her resume. A “Techno Prince$$” herself, Abellan usually takes photos of herself, but this time the DJ-slash-model-slash-muse photographed Kim Kardashian in a fluffy, layered pink princess gown for ODDA magazine.

On Thursday, Kardashian shared a photo of Abellan’s ODDA shoot on Instagram, and also promised more behind-the-scenes shots on her app. Even though Kardashian has always been a self-declared princess—especially according to her eBay and MySpace user names, both of which she has brilliantly kept for all these years—the light pink ensemble feels very far from her typical bodysuits in neutral monochrome colors.

The look is very reminiscent of Rihanna’s 2015 Grammys dress, a layered bright pink gown by Giambattista Valli, and quite similar to the Brit Awards gowns worn by Dua Lipa‘s and Rita Ora on Wednesday evening at the 2018 Brit Awards. But it also does feel more in line with North West‘s ballerina aesthetic than a signature Kim Kardashian look.

Of course, Kardashian took her trending princess vibes to the next level by slipping on some tiny sunglasses, which was no doubt a request from her husband Kanye West, who recently told Kardashian that wearing big sunglasses is no longer acceptable. To be fair, tiny glasses have been trending since last summer—you can even have a scroll through Sita Abellan‘s Instagram for proof.
