Many might not realize that Paris Jackson and Macaulay Culkin are basically family, but they won't let you forget it. Culkin became friends with Michael Jackson in the early 1990s after the success of the Home Alone films, for which he is still most recognized, and was named godfather of the singer's three children, Paris, Michael, and Blanket.
Last July, both Culkin and Jackson got matching tattoos of two tiny spoons on their forearms. Just as Culkin returned to New York from a European vacation this weekend, where he was celebrating his birthday, Jackson shared a photo of the ink she got with Culkin along with a caption celebrating her godfather's 38th birthday on Sunday. The 20-year-old actress and model wrote, "happiest of birthdays mack attack, i love you so so dearly and keep you very close to my heart. always ♥️♥️."
In the Instagram carousel, Jackson, who often refers to Culkin as her "Uncle Mack," included a photo of her late father with her godfather from the set of the "Black or White" music video, in which the former child actor appeared. She also included some photos of herself with her godfather wearing matching monogrammed shirts that read "Mack" and "Paris," a photo in which she donned some bunny ears on the couch with Culkin, and a photo of Culkin at the Louvre in Paris with his girlfriend, actress Brenda Song.
In January 2018, during an interview with Marc Maron for his WTF with Marc Maron podcast, Culkin revealed that he is "very protective" over his goddaughter when it comes to interview questions about his life and family. "I’m going to warn you now, I am very protective of her so just look out," he told Maron, before adding, "I am a very open book when it comes to things but like with her, she is beloved by me."
