Taylor Swift is currently in the midst of a highly publicized legal battle against Colorado radio DJ David Mueller, who the pop singer alleges assaulted before a 2013 concert. Today, August 14, however, the trial became especially emotional as Swift reportedly shed tears. Swift shed tears when the defense took the stand, as People reports.

When Mueller's attorney Gabe McFarland pointed towards a photograph of Swift following the alleged groping, he reportedly asked the jury "Is that the face of someone who’s had someone grab their butt? Who is shocked? There’s nothing in Taylor Swift’s face to suggest anything is wrong." At that point, Swift reportedly had to take a moment to herself, turning away from the court towards her mother where she dried her tear-strewn face, People writes.

Her attorney Douglas Baldridge reportedly responded by saying, "To use Andrea Swift’s words, I don’t know whether to ‘vomit or cry’ when I see a member of the bar subscribe to that re-victimization." He also reportedly referred to a statement Swift made earlier in the trial, on August 10, saying, "I am not going to allow you or your client to make me feel like this is my fault, because it isn’t."

"Victims are prone to blink rather than relive the shame and humiliation of what took place,” Baldridge reportedly explained, before reminding the jury that Swift is seeking $1 from DJ Mueller, not for monetary reasons but to make a stand. "The single value of which is immeasurable to all women in this situation," Baldridge reportedly said. "It means no means no, and it tells every woman that they will determine what is tolerable to their body."

While Swift's trial is still ongoing, that hasn't stopped her peers from flooding her with their messages of support. Lena Dunham voiced hers for Swift last week, tweeting, "Proud of @taylorswift13 for her fierce & cutting testimony & her refusal to settle for being treated like property. Her example is powerful."

Meanwhile, today, Kesha spoke out, saying, "@taylorswift13 i support you always, and especially right now and admire your strength and fearlessness. truth is always the answer."
