Every May, the New York design world opens its doors to the public with NYCxDesign, the industry’s annual showcase of what’s new and next. This year, the celebration once again took over the city, with a wave of must-see exhibitions. There are blockbuster showroom installations from the biggest international brands spanning Soho and the NoMad Design District—ddc (showcasing nearly two floors of work by Paola Lenti), Minotti, B&B Italia, Cassina, and the Poltrona Frau Group—as well as bright, colorful pop-ups from the likes of indie designers like the lighting genius Bec Brittain, in partnership with the glass artist John Hogan. In fact, Sight Unseen OFFSITE has curated inventive collaborations all over town with partners like Opening Ceremony, Crosby Studios, and even the HotelTonight app. Here are the very best, most eye-catching rooms we saw this week—consider it a primer to all the interiors trends you’ll be seeing soon on Instagram.
