Like most of us, Beyoncé helps Lady Gaga get through bad days. Unlike most of us being sustained by Lemonade, throwback Destiny's Child playlists, and the occasional Instagram post from Queen B, however, Lady Gaga has actually been bestowed with a physical gift from Beyoncé herself.
"Not having a good pain day. Thank you honey B for sending me this comfy sweatshirt," Gaga captioned an Instagram post featuring the singer snuggling in a black Ivy Park (Beyoncé's activewear brand) hoodie. "Keeps me warm outside in a hammock so I can be w the trees, and the sky, and the sun and take deep breaths. Feel so lucky to have so much love."
If you recall, the two artists are former collaborators, having released the iconic track "Telephone" back in 2010. It's adorable to see that the singers have managed to maintain a "I'll mail you some sweats because you need some comfort clothes" kind of relationship after all these years.
Gaga recently has opened up about her experience living with chronic pain, a topic covered extensively in her new Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two. The singer cancelled multiple performances this month because of her pain, including the Rock in Rio in Brazil, and she postponed the European leg of her tour until next year. "I'm a fighter," Gaga wrote to her fans on Instagram after making the announcement about her tour. I use the word suffer not only because trauma and chronic pain have changed my life, but because they are keeping me from living a normal life. They are also keeping me from what I love the most in the world: performing for my fans. I am looking forward to touring again soon, but I have to be with my doctors right now so I can be strong and perform for you all for the next 60 years or more."
After a stint in the hospital, Gaga is now working with doctors to manage her fibromyalgia, which causes her pain. It seems like cozy reminders of a solid friendship, mixed with plenty of fresh air, is one treatment that has proved effective for this superstar.
