Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe’s Kids Continue to Morph Into Their Parents

As several headlines over the past few years have reminded us all, Reese Witherspoon’s daughter, Ava Phillippe, is basically her twin. The mother-daughter duo have almost identical features and the same beachy blonde waves, and they frequently influence each other’s style. Although Ava looks more like her actress, fashion designer, and super-producer mother than she does her dad, actor Ryan Phillippe, the Internet has finally realized that her brother, Deacon Phillippe, could easily pass as his father’s clone.

The elder Phillippe, who celebrated his 44th birthday on Monday, posted a sweet photo to Instagram posing with his children. “Me n mine,” he captioned the pic, in which he has his arms around his 19-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son. With their matching dark-framed glasses, tousled hair, and sweet smiles, it’s hard not to notice the resemblance between Ryan and his son.

“Wow your son is literally your same stamp,” commented an Instagram user. “Wow your son looks like your twin! And your daughter like Reese,” wrote another, apparently marveling over how DNA works. “They couldn’t look more like their parents if they tried!” It’s almost like the family had somehow biologically forsaken Mendelian inheritance and just produced direct clones of the parents.

Though Ava has done some modeling (including for Rodarte) and made her debut on the international debutante circuit, it doesn’t appear that either child has necessarily inherited their parents’ ambitions for a career in front of the camera. Phillippe has claimed his children are more academically minded, with Ava apparently enrolled in college.
