The jewelry designer dishes on her favorite pieces and how to get through a Scandinavian winter in style.

Over a decade ago, when jewelry designer Sophie Bille Brahe started taking metal classes, she didn’t expect that the skills she was learning would be used to launch her own line just four years later. “I don’t think it was something I ever thought – that I wanted to be a jeweler – but I was always drawing and working in metal,” explains the Copenhagen-based designer, who unveiled her new collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week earlier this week. Since launching her eponymous collection ten years ago, which is now sold at high-end retailers such as Net-a-Porter, Barneys New York, Dover Street Market, and the Webster, Bill Brahe has garnered an impressive fan base including Rihanna, Emma Watson, Pernille Teisbaeck and Zoe Kravitz, who love her dainty, elegant, designs. Here, the Danish designer answers our most pressing style questions – from her favorite day time accessories, to what she can’t get through the Scandinavian winter without.

Describe your style in three words

Something luxury, something borrowed, and something comfortable!

What is your favorite piece of jewelry you’ve ever designed?

My new diamond tennis bracelet which is a take on my Croissant earring. I wanted to re-interpret the tennis bracelet in a more modern way, and to make something that I would wear.

What is your signature piece from your collection that you come back to season after season? My Croissant diamond earring. I designed it ten years ago, and it’s remained one of our most loved pieces from clients.

Petite Elipse Kelly Earring

What is your go-to uniform for a day in the office?

Ganni or Shrimps silk trousers and a vintage t-shirt from my brother. I pair it with Havaianas flip-flops that have Snoopy on them, or Adidas Stan Smiths.

What are some images on your mood board for this season?

The artist and writer Karen Blixen; she has incredible flower drawings.

What is the accessory you do not leave home without?

My Celine Sunglasses and black Chanel bag. I love things that are stylistically timeless. I also wear sneakers most of the time, as I walk and cycle everywhere.

What was your last purchase? A Bruta silk dress; it’s wonderful and I can’t wait to wear it!

Soleil Ring

What are a few of your fall must-haves?

A Comme des Garçons long silk coat. I also love the Comme des Garçons x Nike collaboration sneakers that have the bows. I also really want an Hermes towel!

What are your favorite haunts in Copenhagen?

Spaghettaria, a new hip Italian restaurant, and Atelier September, which is great for breakfast.

Copenhagen is known for its brutal winter! What can’t you get through the winter without?

My Missoni socks and Sacai puffer jacket.

Who are your style icons? My friends: Emma Leth, Emelie Johansson, Caroline Brasch and Ditte Reffstrup.

Designer Sophie Bille Brahe.

What is your style pet-peeve?

Bad quality.

What are you currently lusting over?

The Josef Frank sofa from the Apartment by the Line. Do you have a signature necklace or piece of jewelery you always wear?

My diamond Croissant earring and my gold Africa necklace and diamond anklet.
