Three Hadids, Two Jaggers, and a Lot of Other Models Walked in the Tommy Hilfiger’s Rock Circus Fashion Show
On the occasion of Gigi Hadid’s third collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, the supermodel and the American designer brought all their friends and family to London, where they staged a rock-slash-circus-themed, see-now buy-now show-slash-party soundtracked by the Chainsmokers (who played a heady mix of Cardi B and Coldplay). Appropriately, the latest installation of Gigi x Tommy was called Tommy Now Rock Circus—because why pick one theme when you can have two?—and Hadid herself opened the show. She was followed by her sister Bella (who did a second lap just before Gigi closed the show) and her brother Anwar, as their mother Yolanda watched from the audience—and then proceeded a lot of other models, none of them named Hadid but many of them wearing her name embroidered on various pieces like beanies, thigh-high stockings, and leggings. The collection, in keeping with the rock ‘n’ roll theme, borrowed from tour merch (“Gigi Hadid Tommy Tour 2017,” read several cropped t-shirts) and crew uniforms (like ID tags slung from a few of the models’ necks) as well as the all-American, red-white-and-blue sportswear of the previous two collections. For good measure, and perhaps also a measure of rock cred, Georgia May and Lizzy Jagger—the daughters of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall—also walked. It sounds like a punchline—three Hadids, two Jaggers—but Tommy Now Rock Circus was not messing around.
