Hailey Bieber’s Leopard-Print Lingerie Dress Is Peak ’90s Cool

Autumn may be approaching, but Hailey Bieber’s ’90s-inspired summer dress code is still very much in effect.
On Saturday night, the Rhode founder and WYouth cover star was spotted out to dinner in Los Angeles with husband Justin in a skin-tight animal-print slip seeped in nostalgic allure. Featuring ultra-thin straps, the vintage-looking dress was adorned in leopard print, a style synonymous with the 1990s and beloved by even the most aesthetically austere It girls of the decade, including Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. In true Hailey Bieber style, the dress also hit all the notes of lingerie dressing, thanks to the rich, creamy lace detailing along the sweetheart neckline and knee-length base.
For the dinner date—sushi, of course—Bieber doubled down on the outfit’s neutral allure in tonal accessories, spanning small sunglasses and strappy light-brown sandals. She also carried a mini brown bag, which presumably held only her phone and credit card, as her Rhode Pocket Blush swung on the outside as a charm. It’s a decidedly on-brand look for the star, whose style over the past few months has consistently called back to the supermodel decade. Throughout the summer, some of her best ensembles have been archival lingerie dresses—specifically from ’90s and early-aughts Dior—from her saturated sorbet-colored slip at Coachella to her fuchsia mini on a date night in New York City in July.
In all her clean-girl minimalism, Bieber has also been a longtime proponent of treating leopard print as a neutral, most recently sporting it at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in March. Though her Armani Privé maxi dress for that event was structured and avant-garde, her most recent endeavour into the wild motif is relaxed, easy, and effortlessly nostalgic. Not to mention, it perfectly complements Rhode’s nude Pocket Blush packaging.
